Forged from a huge billet of mild steel, with a 1084 high carbon steel bit forge welded into the cutting edge in the traditional style. A difficult and very effective method for achieving a fantastic cutting edge that has a soft backing for stress resistance even allowing for hammering on the spine to get through tricky bones.

This is a very special piece with a ton of forging hours and will truly last many lifetimes with the right care.

Paired with an African Blackwood, brass, black g10 and stabilized and dyed birch burl handle. This piece is truly a stunner.
